What Is Opentype And How Is Opentype Supported In Photoshop?

I have a bunch of opentype fonts that came with adobe and some that did not and I am trying to use the alternate sets for them, notwithstanding Photoshop'due south opentype box is 'greyed' out. This situation is the same for all of the opentype fonts. How exercise I fix this?

Although Adobe and Microsoft confirm that once the font is selected you can click on the options and yous'll be able to choose the extended features, I have not been able to do it all the same. I go the same results. So now I'm just working with True Type fonts and the majority of them have the alternate sets. I accept been working with Photoshop and Illustrator since 1992 and ever since True Blazon came into play, PostScript Type i fonts started becoming obsolete. Upward to now, I take never had whatsoever problems with True Blazon fonts, and I recommend sticking to them.
